Soft Mica is an independent guide to rechargeable electric toothbrushes. We help you compare handles, heads and chargers, and pick one that suits the way you brush.
Our readers are often replacing a worn brush, moving up from a manual one or buying for a spouse or parent. So we keep the words plain and skip the jargon.
What we cover
We write about Oral-B iO and Pro handles, Philips Sonicare models from the 4100 up to DiamondClean and Prestige, and other rechargeable brushes like Aquasonic and SURI. We also cover replacement heads, chargers and travel cases.
Some guides are picks for a need, like a simple grip or a pressure sensor. Others answer everyday questions, like what a flashing light means or which heads fit your handle.
What we do
We read the product details, specs and brand information for every brush we cover. We also look at what owners often report after months of use.

What we don't do
